Huh, I don't think I do anything full-time.

Childhood
I was born in a little town called Ashton-Under-Lyne in Lancashire and was given the name Andrew. My mother sometimes talks about other names her and my father considered and I like them all better than Andrew. All but Adam, you can’t name your second son after the first guy. It’d be like calling your first born daughter Eve and the second Lilith.

My folks split when I was around two years old. They split due to my dad’s need to get drunk and beat my mum and her need for that to stop happening. And let me just say that sometimes divorce is the best thing for the kids. A drunk asshole is a better father when he is absent.

When I turned thirteen my mother and I moved to the land of the dragon (that’s Wales). We did this by moving in with mum’s new fella, who is now her husband and my step father. And North Wales is where I remained. Oh sure, I’ve moved around the country a bit, even spent a little time in the US but my feet always led me back to the Valleys.

Marriage
My time in the US was due to my wife being a Yankee. Sara and I were married in 2000 after only knowing each other for 6 months. 12 years later we are still going strong and all bets are off. Though we have discussed making it a civil partnership for political reasons. Support our troops, our GAY troops, our comedy troops, our Greg Proops!

The Family
We now live in a little village in North Wales. My wife hates kids and I’m fairly indifferent so we have a stupid amount of animals: 2 St Bernards, 2 Pugs, 2 Pigs and 2 Oscars(big fish). The pairs thing is not intentional and it’s not a Noah Ark gimmick as all the pairs are same sex.

Educated
I am one of those annoying people who says they have dyslexia. The main reason I say it is because I have dyslexia. Now I know that some people don’t believe in dyslexia and think it just dumb people giving excuses. Well, those people sound pretty dumb what’s their excuse? Anyway, with being born defective, and it not being discovered until way into my twenties, it’s safe to say school sucked and I sucked at school.
After a decade of really shitty jobs, I when back to school. 3 years later I left Glyndŵr University with a 2:1 Degree in Moving Image (Technical Film studies).

Work
After University all my Uni friends dispersed around the country and the one thing a film-maker needs is a crew and I was crewless. North Wales is a lovely place but it’s shy a few production houses. So I thought work was most likely not going to be film based. Well, I was half right. My working life is split into two halves. In one half I am an ICT Mentor (Teaching folks how to send emails, surf the web, etc.) for the  local council and the in other half I'm helping out at TAPE Community Film and Music. TAPE is a great organisation that helps create and promote local film and music project.

Writing
Isn’t life ironic? In that the one thing I truly like to do is write stories and I’m fookin’ dyslexic. I have tried writing all manner of thing from scripts for movies, sitcom, TV dramas and sketch shows. Poetry (very, very bad poetry) and novels, but the dyslexia has always made me stumble and give up. Until now, I have self published my first novel on Amazon where it is available in both paperback and Kindle formats. It’s called British Winters and it tells the story of a guy socially withdrawing at the time of year when society forces you to mingle and be kind to your fellow man. It is an analytical look at the world around us and the social norms that we comply to without even thinking.
